I’m always delighted when my ketubah clients send me photos of their ketubah, but the other day I got a very special treat.

Lauren and Jeffrey ordered my Windows to the Soul egalitarian ketubah in Seaglass for their August wedding a year ago. Lauren’s mom is an artist herself, and she hand-made a marvelous frame to coordinate with the “tile” design of the ketubah. I could not wait to see the finished product!

My wish was granted not long ago, when Lauren sent pictures of the framed ketubah. Here it is for your viewing pleasure.

(I wonder if Lauren’s mom is interested in going into the ketubah framing business?)

Do you have a special frame treatment for your Ketubahworks ketubah? Send it my way and I’ll post it here!

Back in May I had the pleasure of creating a ketubah for a wonderful couple, Patrick and Rick, who celebrated 25 years together by getting married (thank you to Connecticut for legalizing same-sex marriage!) Patrick was a joy to work with, and so appreciative of my work. He sent this lovely thank you the day after the wedding, along with pics of the ketubah after signing, and the happy wedding party (I love getting to attach faces to the names of my wonderful clients!):

Melissa,

I just got back to Atlanta from a couple of thousands of miles of driving since Saturday, but Rick and I got married in Connecticut as planned. The ketubah was signed and all four of our guests were suitably impressed with it.

The attached pictures are low-resolution photos and probably will not print well. I have a c.d. coming that will have several high resolution digital photos that I will send along later.

You aided greatly in our 25th anniversary/marriage event, and I thank you sincerely.

I will tout your fabulousness to any and all – especially thru the Reconstructionist synagogue I attend here in Atlanta.

You may, at your discretion, use me an enthusiastic reference: you may use my name. initials, and/or email address at will.

Patrick Crane
Atlanta

Just eight days later he sent more pics of the ketubah, but this time framed! (Not only is Patrick incredibly thoughtful, but he’s clearly very efficient and organized as well.)

What a beautiful framing job, with the ketubah floated on a blue mat with a gilded wood frame.

Thank you Patrick!

It is such a pleasure and an honor to create art that is a part of one of the most important days of a couple’s life, and that goes on to hang in their home for the rest of their lives together. Rarely, though, do I get to see the ketubah after it’s been framed. I’m always grateful whenever clients send pictures, but recently I stumbled across a picture of my Soul’s Delight ketubah installed in its new home thanks to Twitter!

On October 13, @cinderbella tweeted “Only took a year, but our Ketubah has made it’s way to it’s home. Mooshy gooshy love stuff.”

Imagine my delight when I clicked on the link to see my Soul’s Delight ketubah design, beautifully framed on their wall!
